Welcome to Ocean Tribe, the only PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Centre in Kenya.
We have two well-equipped dive bases with our centre of operations being at the Alliance Safari Beach Hotel and the other centre at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa
In addition to running diving activities, other activities offered include dolphin-watching and whale shark safaris as well as snorkelling expeditions, boat rides and private boat charters.

Ocean Tribe Dive Centre is equipped with:

Ocean Tribe History
Ocean Tribe was founded in 2014 by Mark Slingo our PADI Course Director. The company was originally based in Nairobi servicing the entire Kenya coast before moving to our coast base in Diani Beach.
The dive centre has several PADI Instructors and Divemasters. We make a key point of helping local Kenyans to advance their dive careers to the professional levels.
Recent Ocean Tribe local graduates have gone on to work in Dubai, the Seychelles, the British Virgin Islands, and the Cayman Islands. That’s just to name a few.
Other community initiatives Ocean Tribe has been involved in have been working with a local turtle conservation group and coral reef restoration.
For our own divers, we also run monthly beach and underwater clean-ups and AWARE Dive Against Debris programs.
Ocean Tribe is an active PADI Adaptive Dive Center for divers with disabilities. In this line, our PADI Course Director Mark Slingo has been the recipient of numerous awards in the diving industry.
We have an active Dive Club for local residents and graduates from our GoPro programs.
