The IDC Staff Instructor course in Kenya with Ocean Tribe is your entry into becoming a part of the training of the next generation of diving instructors.
PADI IDC Staff Instructors are qualified to assist a PADI Course Director in conducting the PADI diving instructor courses (IDC) and additionally can run and certify PADI Assistant Instructor courses of their own.
Taking the step up to PADI IDC Staff Instructor will also allow you to build upon the skills, knowledge, and techniques that you have already gained and take them to the next level.
During the PADI IDC Staff Instructor course, you will learn how to perform critical evaluations of candidate performance, conduct counseling sessions for the candidates, and mentor and guide candidates through their dive instructor training.

Duration
There are two options for taking the course.
The first is the more popular option where you will audit an entire PADI IDC course with a PADI Course Director.
This is done over the 16-day PADI IDC at Ocean Tribe (you may audit online workshop components if you wish to slightly shorten your time on-site)
The other is the shorter version. In addition to the IDC Staff Instructor course components, you will present all components of the PADI Assistant Instructor course being graded by a PADI Course Director.
If you wish to do the shortened course option then this can be done in 4 days.
Who is it For?
The course is open to PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers who also hold a renewed EFR Instructor certification.
Course Outline
There is some PADI IDC eLearning to complete before the start of the IDC Staff sessions.
There are then live classroom workshops which can be completed physically at Ocean Tribe or on LIVE online classroom workshops with your PADI Course Director.
Following on from this:
If you are doing the short version then after the IDC Staff Instructor course workshops. You will present the presentations from the Assistant Instructor course to the PADI Course Director.
If you are doing the audit option you will take part in the PADI IDC workshops, candidate presentations, skills circuits, and mentor and counseling sessions.
